Ian Wright: My Journey Unfolded
This is the story of the first 50 years of my life.
It shows my Mother and Father with their parents and siblings and progresses in to my very first memories.
From starting Boarding school at the age of 5 in Bulawayo, Rhodesia, finally obtaining an O Level certificate, to re-college training, graduation from college, and then beginning life on my own.
Starting with a job as a sales rep, then going overseas for a year, returning to Rhodesia, getting married, starting my first real farming job, to opening my own farm in Angola, returning to farming in Rhodesia.
Then, when Rhodesia changed to Zimbabwe, my growth in a quasi-government enterprise developing agriculture in remote areas to finally getting out of farming to enter the commercial world in Harare.
Moving to Zambia for a few years and then returning to Zimbabwe in 1990.
Thus began my entrepreneurial journey on my own in business.
Finally moving to South Africa to set up a new venture, and this is when my 50-year story finishes and a new life, yet to be documented, began.
“Life is a wild frontier.”
